MCP Connector Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2025-01-01
What this connector does
The GTA STR Compliance MCP connector exposes read-only access to publicly available short-term rental regulations for municipalities in the Greater Toronto Area. It allows AI assistants (such as Claude) to answer questions about STR licensing requirements, MAT obligations, and compliance rules on behalf of users.
Data accessed
This connector reads only static, publicly available regulation data that is compiled from official municipal by-laws and policy documents. It does not access any database, user account, property record, or personal information.
- Municipality names and by-law references
- STR licensing and registration requirements
- Municipal Accommodation Tax (MAT) reporting schedules
- Fire safety and guest notification requirements
User data
No user data is stored. When a user or AI assistant calls a tool (e.g., check_str_compliance), the property parameters passed in are used only to evaluate the compliance rules and are discarded immediately. Nothing is logged, persisted, or shared with third parties.
Third-party sharing
No data is shared with any third party. The connector has no external network calls, analytics, or advertising integrations.
Authentication
The MCP endpoint does not require authentication because all data served is public regulation information. No credentials, tokens, or user identifiers are collected.
Disclaimer
All information provided by this connector is for informational purposes only and is not legal advice. Regulations change. Always verify requirements directly with the relevant municipality or qualified legal counsel before operating a short-term rental.
